Description: Wintel Systems Engineer with VMWARE

Client is seeking an advanced MCSE to architect and administer enterprise Wintel solutions and provide third level Wintel server administration.
Education: 4-yr College degree (in Computer Science, MIS, or related field)
Required skills

· Advanced VMware ESX (Clusters)
· Knowledge of SAN/NAS and clustering technologies
· Enterprise Windows architecture experience
· Microsoft Active Directory
· Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Server
· Microsoft scripting
· Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills
The successful candidate will become a member of the Enterprise Wintel Services team within Norfolk Southern Information Technology Department. Candidate should have a minimum of 8 years architecture experience in a large corporate environment and be able to derive best practice configurations and implementations to meet business requirements. VMware and Citrix experience is a must, plus candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Windows server 2003/2008. The candidate must be well rounded, posses maturity, vision, and a depth of experience that allows for grasping of issues quickly and making educated, critical judgments / decisions in the absence of complete information. This candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced 24x7 environment with on-call duties as required and must possess the ability to work with a diverse, high-performance team.
