Title: Capacity Planner

Location: Jacksonville FL

Duration: 6-12 Months

 

Job Details:

Capacity Management & Run Rate Establish proactive capacity management (distributed & mainframe tiers)(90% distribute Unix and Windows) AND 10% mainframe (not as important)

- Validate & accept baseline capacity plans

- Monitor capacity utilization in stress tests and in production

- Drive future capacity plan/need and optimization to keep run rates flat

- Establish capacity trending and analysis reports monthly

- Utilize monthly reporting to drive optimization

Establish run rate baseline and tracking process

 - Document baseline platform cost by application and tier

 - Document baseline PEP costs across Rainbow programs

 - Establish run rate trending and analysis reports monthly

 - Identify optimization projects to lower application operational costs

 

This is someone who can work with the business users, project managers, etc to determine how much capacity usage will be needed, then work with the System Admins and Engineers to make recommendations on how to increase capacity
