Daily Responsibilities: System Analyst for Pricing projects
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
. Demonstrated skills in defining and articulating business requirements and translating into technical specifications
. Proven skill in understanding, analyzing and validating data. Must have experience in determining the precise meaning of data in a complex enterprise system landscape and data flow. Clear understanding of Star Schema Concepts used for Reporting Database is a plus
. Strong SQL skills in SQL server environment. Must be able to understand complex stored procedures and write SQL code to validate/analyze data.
. Demonstrated skills in creating test cases based on black box, white box, and use-case testing methodologies.
. Demonstrated skills in performing Integration Test and validation of applications/Reporting database
. Ability to support applications and resolve issues in a timely manner
. Experience in the Business Intelligence area with proficiency in the features, deployment, and use of reporting/analytics tools (SQL server tools). Strong familiarity of the BI industry, vendors, and products is important.
. Experience in a structured software development methodology.
. Ability to work on multiple projects at one time

Resource must be on site 5 days/week. Major data model and software changes to support large enhancements, optimizing database access to support growth in database capacity and complexity, SQL scripts needed for recovering from errors. Job Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain Oracle and databases.
* Proactive monitoring and performance tuning of databases.
* Provide DBA support to sales/implementations personnel and customers.
* SQL and PL/SQL scripting and coding of procedures, triggers and packages.
* Provide support and maintenance of existing database code.
* Development, implementation and support of new database code.
* Using ANSI SQL and PL/SQL for tuning and maintenance.
* Responsible for providing day-to-day support and maintenance for key Oracle databases and services of our enterprise application platform.
* Responsible for investigating potential problems and issues raised by business users; this includes being on an on-call rotation and carrying a pager as needed.
* Monitor database events.
* Work with the team to automate reactive procedures where possible, and to promote rapid response to known issues.
* Work with other teams to promote changes to production and other environments.
* Accountable for maintaining databases configurations in compliance with established *best practices*.
* Oversee data fixes for business issues or to address application issues.
